Mother’s Day is right around the corner and that means it's time to spoil our mommas like they deserve! What better way to do that than to make her a yummy (and Instagram worthy) cocktail? Mixing a creative cocktail doesn't need to be stressful or overwhelming. Sometimes adding a little bubbly to the drink can be the easiest way to make it special. Here are a few of our favorite bubbly cocktails for you to incorporate into your Mother’s Day celebration! Add some extra glam while you're at it too!
Prosecco Margarita
This is a fun twist on a traditional cocktail and super easy to make in large batches!
Yield: 6 margaritas
3 oz. blanco tequila
3 oz. Cointreau
4 oz. simple syrup
8 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice
1 750mL chilled bottle of prosecco
Lime wedges and coarse salt rim for garnish
In a large bowl mix the tequila, Cointreau, simple syrup and lime juice and place in the refrigerator to chill. When your ready to serve your cocktails salt the rims of the glasses, add ice to the glasses and divide the
chilled tequila mixture in the glasses. Top
with prosecco, garnish with a lime wedge
and enjoy!
Raspberry Mint Fizz
This is one of our favorite fruity and bubbly cocktails, that we know your mom will love too!
Yield: 2 cocktails
6 fresh raspberries
6 mint leaves
6-8 dashes bitters
1/2 oz. simple syrup
Chilled prosecco
Divide mint leaves and raspberries and add to each glass. Add 3-4 dashes of bitters to each glass and muddle until raspberries are broken up. Add ¼ oz. of simple syrup to each glass and fill with prosecco.
Strawberry Lillet Spritzer
This refreshing drink is not only delicious, but so pretty too!
Yield: 2 spritzers
6 oz. chilled Lillet Blanc
4 oz. chilled prosecco
2 lemon wedges
4 thinly sliced strawberries
A few sprigs of fresh thyme
Take your two glasses and add 3 oz. of Lillet Blanc to each one. Squeeze the juice of 1 lemon wedge into each glass and add the strawberries and thyme. Add crushed ice and top with Prosecco.
To add more fun and efficiency while making cocktails, use a cocktail shaker set!
