H + M’s wedding at the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln, Massachusetts was a thoughtful balance of art, landscape, and global inspiration. Surrounded by lush grounds and large-scale works of art, the setting felt like a natural extension of H+M’s shared appreciation for culture, creativity, and intentional design.
From the start, the celebration was planned to feel fluid and considered as guests moved from one moment to the next. Each space was designed to feel welcoming and comfortable, while still offering moments of inspiration drawn from the venue itself. The experience unfolded with ease, allowing guests to feel both grounded in the setting and fully immersed in the celebration.
A refined monochromatic palette anchored the design, appearing throughout the wedding party attire, linens, and printed materials. Different shades of blue served as the primary accent, creating a cohesive thread across the day. These tones were layered with natural greens, soft yellows, and subtle touches of orange, all inspired by the surrounding landscape and the seasonal garden setting.
Floral design leaned into organic movement. Blue floral prints appeared consistently, tying together the paper goods, textiles, and decorative details. Clean signage in modern shapes paired with playful typography brought a contemporary edge, while still feeling approachable and warm. Each sign featured varying shades of blue, reinforcing the monochromatic theme without feeling repetitive.
One of the most meaningful details was the escort card display, where paper cranes accompanied each place setting. This thoughtful nod to artistry and symbolism added a quiet, personal layer to the day.
Overall, H + M’s wedding felt both traditional and distinctly modern. Rooted in timeless celebration but influenced by global aesthetics and artistic expression, the day reflected the couple in a way that felt natural and authentic. Set against the backdrop of deCordova’s landscape and sculpture-filled grounds, it was a celebration defined by intention, creativity, and connection.
