Transforming a Raw Space into a Music Festival Inspired Wedding at Olio Peabody
When we started working with Ravina and Tony - they were still on the hunt for their Wedding Reception venue. They knew they wanted somewhere that allowed them make the space completely them. Blank canvas? You know we love that! With their large guest count - having their Wedding at Olio Peabody was the perfect match. The industrial yet historically charming space was the perfect raw space for us to make their "music festival" dreams come true.
R+T love EDM and knew they wanted it be a big part of their celebration. They had plans to have a smaller Ceremony the evening before with close friends and family and Saturday was going to be the blow out party. They picked the perfect DJ, found a caterer who could accommodate their Indian/Chinese blended menu, and of course - we dove in head first to work with them on an epic design plan that could transform the space into bright, playful, boho meets modern celebration.
Bright colors were our first step. Purple, teal, and magenta acted as our primary colors. Yellow, orange and blue were supporting colors offering additional bright pops throughout the florals. Lots and lots of pampas grass added a playful texture at almost every turn. No shortage of fun playful moments to take in - from their "mischief managed" neon sign (a nod to their Harry Potter obsession) to a vibrant seating area for their friends and family to enjoy cocktails.
Every step of the day was joyful and was only upgraded by the incredible team from Valentina's Entertainment that populated the dancefloor with their light up robot stilt dancers and so much more. It was one of those Wedding you just never wanted to end. Check-it out for yourself!
